Madison psychologist and practice Owner

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
— Mary Oliver

I am happy to meet new mediation, collaborative divorce or co-parenting clients, but no longer offer psychotherapy services. Please be in touch with our office to discuss who you else might see in therapy.

The quality of care you receive here at Westside is my first priority.  As owner of the practice, I proudly support my team of fantastic therapists in offering expert services to those in need in our community. I pride myself on our skilled clinicians and high quality customer service. I am deeply committed to a constant effort to refine and improve all of our practices. I am always happy to hear from you about what worked well, and what might have been better. ALL Westside therapists welcome and affirm members of the LGBTQI community, as well as any other groups who struggle for support, acceptance, and recognition.

Background & Approach

I strive to foster an interactive relationship geared toward helping you develop your own internal resources and capabilities so that you leave with new skills for dealing with your struggles. Becoming more conscious of your patterns, and learning how to create opportunities to make different choices in a more mindful way gives rise to a more positive sense of yourself and your power to influence your experience of life. I have practiced as a Madison psychologist for over 20 years, working with adults, adolescents, children, individuals, and couples.

My clinical work now focuses on Divorce Mediation, Co-parenting Counseling, and Collaborative Divorce. In conflict resolution, I value the opportunity to assist those locked in conflict to find a humane way to resolution. By learning skillful ways to identify, acknowledge, and ease the feelings that always underlie disagreements, I work to open a path for moving forward with dignity and respect and the satisfaction of having behaved in a way that is in line with fundamental values of integrity, fairness, and kindness. At the end of the day, it is a relief to find that our interests are usually aligned.

I offer an interdisciplinary mediation process, working closely with an attorney mediator and, when necessary, a financial specialist. Together, we provide a stream-lined, comprehensive divorce process through which we can support you from start to finish, leaving every member of your family positioned to move forward into the next phase of life.

I am trained in the Collaborative Divorce process, within which I am available to serve as Facilitator, Divorce Coach or Child Specialist. As a Mediator, I work to resolve all manner of differences through a facilitative process, including divorce mediation and post-settlement agreements
