Insurance Coverage and Direct payment options
Anyone who uses insurance coverage for psychotherapy must be given a diagnosis, as treatment must be deemed “medically necessary.” If you are concerned about confidentiality, or prefer not to frame your concerns in a medical model, we offer the option of paying for services directly. We will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of each choice with you at your first visit. Clinicians at Westside Psychotherapy accept all national insurance carriers, and are only excluded from the local HMO panels. We will check your benefits before your first session, so you know where you stand with deductibles and co-pays. Be aware, however, that insurance companies sometimes give inaccurate information. We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for these errors.
Payments can be made on line via credit or debit card, or in person by cash or check. We suggest you allow us to save your credit number in our Authorize.net system.
Services supporting the Collaborative Divorce process, as a divorce coach or child specialist, are completely separate from psychotherapy. These services are not oriented around a treatment model. They are intended solely to facilitate a humane and functional divorce that will leave every member of the family optimally positioned to move into the next chapter of life with minimum harm. These services are not covered by insurance.
All sales are final.
Westside Psychotherapy requires 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment. Appointments missed or canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be billed directly to you at full fee. Fees for missed or late-canceled appointments will be payable by the next scheduled appointment. PLEASE NOTE: Insurance does not cover missed appointments. If using insurance for your therapy, YOU WILL BE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for paying these fees.
